  I guess that it depends on which of the priests is giving the homily, but most of them give wonderful sermons and have a great sense of humor. As far as a sense of community, it's not difficult as long as you're willing to get involved. I was in the choir for a year and I was amazed at how carring everyone was without even knowing me.
